Loading and unloading rolling and crawling equipment

Exceptional or abnormal transports apply to loads that exceed the normal legally permitted maximum dimensions and weight for a ‘normal’ transport.

Within this sector Nooteboom is the leader in innovating and manufacturing appropriate and high-quality solutions for the transport of any kind of abnormal load. The transport of abnormal loads with our advanced equipment requires a certain level of expertise and knowledge of the equipment, all the deviating regulatory requirements and of course a different style of driving on the road. The driver in open or abnormal transport must have expert knowledge and skills and always pay extra attention to the safe loading and unloading of rolling and crawling equipment. He must also take into consideration all the manufacturers’ conditions of use, the wishes of the machinery owners and/or rental companies.

To efficiently load and unload rolling and crawling equipment is important to ensure the load is properly secured and optimal use is made of the capacity of the vehicle. Therefore extra attention is also paid to unloading and reloading part of a load. For example, if divisible loads of several items such as access platforms, telescopic handlers, vans etc. have to be delivered to different addresses.
