16-03-2020 - Sotiris Kanaris visits Nooteboom’s manufacturing plant and talks to Harm van de Logt, sales manager for Benelux, about the company’s products for the crane industry. The relationship between Nooteboom and the crane industry goes back to 1936, when Anton Nooteboom built a hydraulic crane on a Ford V8 chassis. In the fifties, the company expanded its offering with the introduction of low-loaders. It built its first low loader in 1953, to meet the demand for construction machinery transportation to Zeeland, for the province’s reconstruction after a severe flood. When the next order was received, Anton Nooteboom had the idea to equip the low-loader with axles that could swivel. The first lowloader with pendle axles was born. Read more

Peinemann expands its fleet with three new Nooteboom access platform semi low-loaders

18-12-2019 - Peinemann from Hoogvliet has been a loyal customer of Nooteboom for decades. The fleet contains many hydraulically controlled Nooteboom MCO and Manoovr semi low-loaders, which are mainly used for the transport of crane parts and access platforms. The newest addition is a 3 axle extendible access platform semi low loader, type MCO-48-03V, with hydraulic load floor for loading on the gooseneck. The semi low-loaders are equipped with all kinds of options, specifically aimed at transporting access platform equipment. A 6-axle Manoovr will be added to the fleet next year. Read more

Nooteboom invests in the latest LUTEC system for effective smoke extraction

16-12-2019 - A lot of welding work is done at the Nooteboom production site in Wijchen, both manually and by means of robot installations. It is therefore logical that there is nuisance due to polluting welding smoke. An old gas-fired heating system also produced contaminated vapors. No optimum work situation for the production employees. LUTEC, a well-known supplier of a pleasant and sustainable working environment within trailer construction, was also allowed to use its expertise for Nooteboom. After making an inventory of the wishes and research of the location, the new system was implemented. This system contains all facets that are needed to achieve a clean and healthy working environment. Sophisticated air flows effectively remove the welding fumes. In addition, air filtering takes place with a very high efficiency, up to 99.95%. Read more
