The port of Rotterdam is – where it concerns the economy – the beating heart of the Netherlands. From their central location in the port of Rotterdam a global network of Lensveld branches are controlled. Europe, Africa, Asia and North America: LV Shipping & Transport – the company Lensveld Transport BV is part of – has branches everywhere. Worldwide the company has around 400 employees, 130 of them in the Netherlands.
Director Mark van Herk: “There are strong ties between Nooteboom and our business. Our company goes back a long way, just like Nooteboom. We don’t go for short-term solutions. Quality that lasts is our aim and our suppliers and customers reflect this. During the last few years we made considerable investments. Of course the opening of our beautiful new office in 2012 was a highlight but we have also invested in our network. Last year we acquired branches in Jakarta, Riyadh and Baku. And we invested in our fleet too, where by now more than 1/3 meets the Euro 6 norm. We are extremely proud to recently be awarded the 5 Ecostar Award. This Award is given to companies that carry out their transports efficiently and environmentally-friendly. Other aspects, such the training of drivers, are considered too. It is our aim to deliver complete logistics and transport solutions. Transport by sea and overland, combined with storage facilities and of course the completion of all the paperwork entailed in a transport operation. Among our customers are major players in the energy sector, the extraction of oil and gas and offshore enterprises.”
