The design of this compact tridem trailer is based on the sophisticated concept of the OSDS semi low loader from the Nooteboom SMART range. It is characterised by a very strong and robust chassis combined with a very low dead weight. Including 3-metre hydraulically operated ramps, the dead weight is only approximately 6,700 kg. Thanks to this lightweight construction, maximum use is made of the payload. Thus the technical payload of this 3-axle centre-axle drawbar trailer at low speed is 33 tonnes and at 90 km/h 25.8 tonnes.
The low height loading floor of only 860 mm also makes this trailer very suitable for transporting high loads.

Comfortable driving characteristics
This 3-axle centre-axle drawbar trailer is very manoeuvrable due to its compact design and the self-steering rear axle. This makes it extremely easy for the drivers to manoeuvre on tight construction sites. Reversing with this ASDS trailer is also very easy, because the self-steering rear axle is automatically locked when the reverse gear is engaged. The air suspension with which this semi`low loader is equipped as standard contributes to the comfortable driving experience and offers a height stroke of 200 mm.
Variable drawbar & towing eye
The drawbar of the centre axle trailer is available in two different lengths, 1,750mm and 2,000mm. The drawbar is equipped with an interchangeable towing eye for use in different countries, and is available in three different diameters: 50mm, 57.5mm and 68mm. The drawbar eye can be attached to the drawbar at 4 different heights, ranging from 825mm in the lowest position to 975mm in the highest position. The diversity in drawbar eyes, drawbar length and coupling height makes the Nooteboom centre axle semi low loader suitable for almost all tippers.
Customised
For the ASDS-33-03(EB) drawbar semi low loader there is a wide choice of options with which the customer can configure the trailer to their own wishes. These include items such as removable headboard, lift axle, width enlargement, stake pockets, storage rack under loading floor, width marker boards, etc..
Loading & unloading
The long rear beaver tail in combination with the hydraulically operated ramps, creates a minimum gradient that makes loading and unloading of machines safe and easy. Besides raising and lowering the ramps, the width of the ramps can also be hydraulically operated as an option. The fixed ramp controls are located on the left-hand side of the trailer. A wireless remote control is available as an option. For safe loading, unloading and transport of construction machinery, the drawbar is equipped with folding rear support legs. For optimum securing of the load, the trailer is fitted as standard with Nooteboom’s patented 8,000 daN lashing eyes in the side rave and this can also be extended to include lashing eyes along the central beam of the loading floor. These lashing eyes guarantee optimal lashing possibilities in all directions.
