The Nooteboom SUPER WING CARRIER has been specially developed for the transport of extremely long rotor blades of up to approximately 70 metres. Thanks to the unique combination of an extendable loadingbed, pendulum axles and a hydraulically adjustable gooseneck, this innovative transport solution offers maximum manoeuvrability, stability and safety during wind turbine transport.

As wind turbines continue to grow in size, rotor blades are becoming longer as well. The SUPER WING CARRIER has been specifically designed to meet this challenge and is used worldwide for transporting rotor blades longer than 50 metres. Its reinforced and torsion-resistant construction ensures that the trailer remains stable, even under asymmetric loads and in crosswind conditions.
Optimum stability and manoeuvrability
The SUPER WING CARRIER is equipped with hydraulically steered pendulum axles with a maximum steering angle of 60 degrees. This allows you to manoeuvre more easily through sharp bends, roundabouts and challenging transport routes. Thanks to the large suspension travel of 60 cm, you can also create additional ground clearance when passing obstacles and height differences. In many European countries, you also benefit from permitted axle loads of up to 12 tonnes per axle line, ensuring optimum operational flexibility within wind turbine transport.
Hydraulically adjustable gooseneck
A unique feature of the SUPER WING CARRIER is its hydraulically adjustable gooseneck with a height adjustment range of 82 cm. This allows you to create additional ground clearance during transport without repositioning the load. At the same time, the gooseneck remains fully functional and stable, while the fifth wheel automatically stays level. Depending on the load, the loadingbed can be connected to the gooseneck at two different heights to achieve either the optimum transport height or maximum ground clearance.
Extendable loadingbed for maximum flexibility
The quadruple-extendable loadingbed can be extended from just over 18 metres to more than 64 metres. This enables the efficient and safe transport of rotor blades up to approximately 70 metres in length. Thanks to an additional movable support beam, the trailer can be temporarily retracted during transport, making it easier to negotiate tight bends without repositioning the load.
