Area Sales Manager North of France

Innovation that gets you there! Nooteboom Trailers, based in the Netherlands, has a top market position in Europe in the design and construction of vehicles for abnormal road transport. Nooteboom has its headquarters and factory located in the Netherlands and employs more than 500 people. In France, we serve our customers by four direct salespeople and dealers.

To serve our customers in the Paris and North region of France, we would like to welcome a new team member, living ideally ideally in the center of this area. You will be part of our international sales team. You meet regularly in the Netherlands during a sales meeting to see each other. You will be report to the country sales manager and work closely with the local sales employee in France. Nooteboom is ambitious, innovative and growing. Our team has structurally improved its position in the market during the last few years and we intend to continue on this path.

Location: North of France and Paris / Normandie’s area

The function of the Area Sales Manager North of France:

Serving our clients, and provide them advice, is what drives you and gives you energy. Understanding customer requirements and finding the right product for them gives you a buzz.  You show personal engagement, attention for the customer, focus on opportunities and have a strong motivation to see things through. You get excited by clients and technology. You engage customers and look after them, to become their trusted adviser for Nooteboom vehicles and services.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop sales and marketing plans for your region;
  • Develop and present Nooteboom solutions to customers;
  • Sell vehicles and services to customers;
  • Support dealers of his area;
  • Provide (technical) advice to customers about various transport solutions;
  • Maintain and develop the customer database;
  • Translate market developments into sales approaches;
  • Take part in exhibitions and trade fairs;
  • Initiate market-oriented activities in order to improve market position.

We are looking for:

We are looking for an independent working sales manager who is able to speak and write in English and has technical and commercial expertise on higher vocational level. You are living in France – ideally in Normandie.

This job comes with a decent training process. Your personality matters to us. It’s important to be pro-active, structured, setting priorities and focus on customers. You take the initiative and improve situations step-by-step. You are aware that you are an ambassador of our company. You are a self-starter, have the ability to work autonomously but also understand the relevance of teamwork.

Where you will work:

Of course our sales managers travel a lot. They fly from their region to the Wijchen headquarters and they travel in their own region. We expect you will work two days from home to prepare meetings. The other three days you are on the road to visit customers. But you can shape this in your own way.
